SMR is Closing its Doors for Business

We are sorry to inform you that after October 31, 2009, Speed’s Match Roping will close its doors for business. We appreciate all of your help and support up to this point but we just do not have enough demand for match ropings to incur all of the expenses it takes to keep SMR open.  

Like any business, we did not start out perfectly, but with your valued feedback, we continued to adjust and accommodate both ropers and producers. As most people are hesitant about becoming involved with a start-up business, you helped us with your support to get this business launched; and to that, we are eternally grateful. We wish we could have kicked off in February 2009 knowing what we know now, but unfortunately we cannot turn back time. We have also appreciated all of the outstanding support of our greatly valued sponsors. With a tight economy and minimum consumer spending, our sponsors stepped up to the plate and offered great support to SMR.

We apologize to everyone for the disappointment but the decision had to be made. SMR strived to give you the best customer support along with a great roping format; but with that responsibility came a high cost. Any ropings scheduled in October will still be run and our October Sponsor Point Race winners will still be paid after the point races are complete on October 31^st. Deadline Approaching…

If you competed in a Speed’s Match Roping since October 1, you need to sign up for the October Sponsor Point Races by October 25!

Ropers who want their points accumulated since October 1 to count towards the $13,600 October Sponsor Point Races need to enter the races by October 25 in order for all October points to count. If ropers enter October Point Races after October 25, only points accumulated from October 25-31 will count towards October Sponsor Point Races.

Speed’s Match Roping Made Simple

For some people, Speed’s Match Roping has been a little confusing so this will help clear up any confusion. Here is a simple explanation of a Speed’s Match Roping using Format Option 3.
